ABOUT US

Ready to Advance Human Health Through Proteomics?

The Human Proteome Organization (HUPO) promotes the development and application of proteomics technologies for enhancement of biological knowledge, global health and wellness. HUPO advances these goals through international collaboration, coordination, education, and advocacy in an inclusive and empowering environment.

What We Do

20+

Years of Global Proteomics Leadership

Since 2001, HUPO has led the global proteomics community in shaping the future of biomedical science through research, collaboration, and innovation

What is proteomics? ‘Translating the code of life’

Proteomics has evolved from genomics and the successful sequencing and mapping of the genomes of a wide variety of organisms, including humans. Genomics involves using reagents, tools and technologies for the high throughput sequencing of DNA and the subsequent storage and annotation of the data.
